Location: The Choco is one of the 32 colombian departments, located in the north- west of the country, between the rainforests of the Darien (Colombia-Panama) and the rivers Atrato and San Juan.
Climate: Warm humid , 28 degrees Celsius on average , the summer season is in January , February, March and mid-August , the rest of the year is the rainy season with heavy rains between October and early December .

TRAVEL RECOMMENDATIONS:
Tetanus and yellow fever vaccination at least 10 days before the departure.
Light clothes (cotton), long-sleeved shirt, rain protection, bath dress, mosquito repellent, (or if you prefer take 15 days before the departure Tiamina for the prevention of allergies to insect bites), flashlight with batteries (if possibly rechargeable).
Baggage is limited to 10 kg + 5 kg hand baggage, we recommend to carry light objects in the hand baggage (backpack) and the heavier equipment in the main baggage. Overweight can be checked in in the low season for a low fee. Excess baggage can be left in Medellin in our office.
